Asharqia Chamber organizes a lecture that reviewed the uses of artificial intelligence in the business sector

Asharqia Chamber, represented by the Communications and Technology Committee, organized a lecture on the evening of Wednesday, April 19, 2021, which reviewed the uses of artificial intelligence in the business sector.

During the lecture, the consultant in data science and artificial intelligence, Ahmed bin Saeed Bukhamseen, spoke about the importance of artificial intelligence as a branch of computer science, where the term artificial intelligence refers to systems or devices that simulate human intelligence to perform tasks that enable it to improve itself based on the information it collects. Pointing out that artificial intelligence manifests itself in several forms, the first of which (artificial intelligence) is explained as a technology that enables computers to simulate human behaviors, and the second (machine learning) is defined as a subset of artificial intelligence technology that uses statistical methods to enable machines Of improving experiences, the third is (deep learning), which is a subset of machine learning that makes computing multi-layered neural networks possible.

On the possibility of helping enterprises, Bukhamseen said that artificial intelligence can provide assistance by providing a more comprehensive understanding of the abundance of available data, and also relying on predictions to complete highly complex tasks in addition to the usual tasks, noting that companies use artificial intelligence in the first place for several considerations. These are: Detecting and deterring security interference, which accounts for 44 percent of companies' concerns, 41 percent for solving technical problems of users, 34 percent to limit production management work, and 34 percent to measure internal compliance when using approved suppliers.

Bukhamseen explained that artificial intelligence has become a tangible reality and exists everywhere, and humans deal with it directly, as it exists in self-driving cars, smart homes, and virtual assistants, but in companies, it is present in the education sector, digital supply chains, and the health sector.

On the most prominent Saudi applications of artificial intelligence, Bukhamseen has shown several industries and programs that have become dependent on artificial intelligence outputs, in the maintenance sector it invests in achieving predictive preventive maintenance, and in social media, it contributes to analyzing customer satisfaction and analyzing brand performance indicators, and in the real estate sector, it helps In determining the type of property and analyzing real estate deals.
